Sunnehanna Country Club is a private, member-only course in Johnstown. It is well known throughout the world of golf and has been recognized as one of the country's Top 100 Classic Golf Courses since 2003. With its stunning locale, challenging design, and time-tested role in American golf, the course provides an unparalleled golfing experience. With five tee locations, there are options and lengths available for all abilities.

The layout of the course is fairly open, with the ability to recover on some misplaced shots. Be careful around the bunkers as many are deep and menacing. The course is meticulously maintained, with well groomed fairways, greens and rough and only a spattering of trees (not counting the forest that surrounds most of the course). Water comes in to play on a few holes, but is mostly an afterthought if you place your shots well. The greens are large and offer tricky reads with breaks in many directions, demanding a keen eye and clever putting for a low score. .  Overall, the course can play long, with several holes at over 500 yards, depending on your tee choice.

The club boasts one of the most respected junior golf programs in the nation, juniors gain knowledge of the game, become skilled on the greens, develop proper swing and putting technique, and learn to appreciate golf etiquette. Beginners and golfers of all skill levels graduate through the program at a challenging and enjoyable pace
